Netflix shows to watch high

1. Rick & Morty

If you still call this show a hidden gem, you're probably already high. Since its first season, Rick and Morty has become a major success. Available on Netflix, the show is praised for its wild creativity and has gained a devoted fanbase. This multidimensional sandbox delivers bizarre stories and always comes through with a brilliantly dry sense of humor. Rick takes Morty on wild adventures through endless realities, and in this series, pretty much any story can be told.

2. BoJack Horseman

Netflix knows that a ton of stoners are looking for good shows to watch. That’s why there are plenty of series on Netflix that are perfect for a high state of mind. BoJack Horseman is a washed-up and depressed actor trapped in the body of an overweight horse. His glory days are long gone. He tries to get back into the entertainment industry, but keeps stumbling from one awkward mess to the next. This show stands apart from goofy stoner comedies. There’s definitely less laughing, but the fate of the main character is gripping and totally binge-worthy. Why watch it high? Because BoJack is so lethargic, you can totally relate to him when you’re stoned. Spending the whole day in bed? That’s basically part of the show.

3. Trailer Park Boys

Smoking weed with your buddies and watching a hilarious series — what more could you want? Silly jokes, wild adventures, and a vibe that makes it obvious the writers were probably high themselves. The Trailer Park Boys are three guys living in a poor part of Canada. All three are unemployed and spend their days chasing crazy business ideas, pulling off petty heists, and dealing cannabis. When they end up in space growing weed in a space station, you know this series doesn’t believe in limits. This animated gem is, of course, available on Netflix.

4. South Park

A classic among animated shows — especially popular with nerds and stoners. There's always something going on in South Park, and even sober, the stories from this little town are a blast. Bold humor and sharp political commentary are staples of the series. Over its many seasons, South Park has evolved. Whether you prefer the early episodes or the newest seasons is just a matter of taste. You can stream all episodes for free on their official website.

5. That '70s Show

This sitcom ran for 8 seasons and premiered in the U.S. in 1998.

The story centers on Eric Foreman and his group of friends from Wisconsin, who navigate the everyday struggles and temptations of teenage life. Naturally, their highs come not only from life and love — they also enjoy drinking and smoking weed, which often lands them in trouble. The cultural vibe of the 70s is palpable and gives the show a perfect backdrop for simple, everyday situations and jokes that would probably never make it on air today. With stars like Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, the cast also features many familiar faces you might recognize from other productions.

6. Big Mouth

Puberty brings awkward changes, and hormones stir up unfamiliar feelings. Big Mouth follows a group of kids entering puberty, and just like every teen, they're visited by their hormone monsters. These monsters act like funny buddies who, unfortunately, constantly get them into trouble. The show tackles important themes like sexuality, friendship, and growing up. Everyone has their own hormone monster, and for high viewers, they’re a hilarious reflection of all those chaotic feelings. Though the characters are kids, this animated show is definitely made for adult stoners.
